So for those of you who aren’t aware, I am currently working at a running shoe store located in the Marina. Every Saturday morning the store hosts a “fun” run, where anyone can show up and run with us. The person who usually leads the runs was away for vacation and I happened to be scheduled to do it this weekend.

The routes usually consist of 5-6 miles and go through nice landmarks around the city. The route I took was filled with countless hills through the marina towards the Embarcadero and back up Bay street. It was a hot morning but filled with lovely views!

This by far was the best run I’ve had since I got to San Francisco. I ran 6 miles stretching from AT&T Park all the way to Fisherman’s Warf. I think the Embarcadero is one of the most beautiful places in San Francisco and the weather is always perfect! I ran those 6 miles at my fastest pace since I first started running in the city and even after the run I felt like I could have gone much much further. That feeling is literally the best feeling in the world! 688 miles more to go!

Guys! I have actually been pretty successful at my running here! As I have mentioned previously my goal (in terms of running) is to run 750 miles by this summer. I am at mile 55.2! This week, it was mighty hot so I decided to take a trip to Ocean Beach for a nice 6 mile run. It was so gorgeous, I ran along the Great Highway, all the way up to the Cliff House, I love San Francisco!!

K, gotta go now, on my way to the Embarcadero for another run near the Ferry Building!

When I was in the Bay Area last week, my family and I celebrated my cousin’s 24th birthday! It was quite a fun-filled day. At the start of it, the bulk of my family took a hike up a huge mountain early EARLY in the morning. It was quite the experience and I hope to someday come back and run up those hills!

The trail was a 6.25 mile hike there and back. It was very steep, but we all got to the top!! The best part was, we were above the clouds!! It was an amazing experience.

Once you reach the top, you have to take a picture of the pole resting on the mountain. It’s proof you made it up there. Look! I have proof!¬†

So, if you are ever in the East Bay, stop by Mission Peak.

I got the Nike Frees in San Francisco Niketown this week! I’ve fallen in love!! I got them in highlighter pink and they feel ever so cozy! Nike Frees were built to introduce a more barefoot running experience to runners, which means these shoes aren’t as stable as other training shoes, which create more strength in your foot. I love these shoes because I have always been intrigued with barefoot running, and they always have great color ways. There’s a great video explaining all the wonders of this great shoe designed by Mark Miner, check it out!
