Oh boy! I haven’t been here for a while, my life has been quite hectic and it’s hard to find down time for some good old food blogging. It is currently 11am and I am finally able to sit down, indulge in a nice plate of pad thai from down the street and spend some quality time with my laptop.

School just started, I am still working and I most recently landed an exciting internship located in sunny Potrero Hill! I’m exhausted, but it’ll all pay off eventually!

As a nice little update, I have recently moved to the downtown San Francisco area this summer located in between the lovely Tenderloin and Nob Hill, or as my colleagues like to call it, “the Tenderloin Heights.” My days are filled with dog shit, crack heads and of course, good food! And I love every bit of it!

Two doors down, I can wake up from my apartment and head over to farm:table, a quick and easy breakfast spot where the menu changes on the daily!

farm:table is a tiny little breakfast spot that serves up delicious coffee and various breakfast plates.

There is barely any room to sit inside, so most people take advantage of the outside park-let adorned with grass and retro wooden seating. My roommates and I took advantage of our synchronized day off and visited farm:table. Of course we checked out their Twitter page to see what was on the menu that day! They serve up different meals everyday so you have to stay updated through their innovative social media.

The day we went, they were serving up poached eggs on a doughy biscuit topped with fresh cherry tomatoes, crispy bacon and a touch of scallions. It was a quick and easy breakfast that paired well with the sunny skies and the San Francisco nonchalance. It was a perfect day as we people watched while sitting on the park-let facing Post Street.

Since farm:table is literally my neighbor, this will definitely become a frequented breakfast spot for me!

I’m not a morning person, but if there’s a breakfast burrito involved…

SO…Today I turned SEVENTEEN!!!! YAHOOO!! Today was quite an eventful day, I decided to sign up for my community’s annual Santa Clarita 5K, which at the time was more of an impulsive decision. But the morning before the run (mind you, this was 5 o’clock in the MORNING) I kept cursing myself ‘cus all I wanted to do was go back to bed. && on top of that it was POURING rain!! But when I stood on that starting line, I was really pumped! && throughout the whole race I was having an absolute blast!! I was drenched from head to toe and all I was wearing was a cotton t-shirt (bad idea) and some spandex. What an adventure!! I had such an amazing time and it was a great way to start off my birthday! After the race, my Dad and I were determined to eat a good meal and get warm, so we decided to eat at the Hyatt hotel that was right next to the race’s finish line. For a breakfast buffet, this meal was definitely the bombdiggity.

The best races are the ones with a $5 all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast! I sure took advantage of that…

…so my team ran this crazy trail called The Beast &&& I’m exhausted! It was 5 miles all the way up this mountain and all I could think of was FOOD!!! Thankfully my mom surprised me by taking me out to breakfast, which I really enjoyed. We ate at Eggs N’ Things and I ordered “eggs n’ sausage” with hash browns and my mom ordered corn beef hash. YUM!
